Modification of cellular DNA by synthetic aziridinomitosenes.
Two synthetic aziridinomitosenes (AZMs), Me-AZM and H-AZM, structurally related to mitomycin C (MC) were evaluated for their anticancer activity against six cancer cell lines (HeLa, Jurkat, T47D, HepG2, HL-60, and HuT-78) and tested for their DNA-modifying abilities in Jurkat cells. Cytotoxicity assays showed that Me-AZM is up to 72-fold and 520-fold more potent than MC and H-AZM, respectively....
متن کاملPost-synthetic modification of DNA by inverse-electron-demand Diels-Alder reaction.
There is currently a tremendous interest in developing bioorthogonal "click chemistry" methods for the modification of biopolymers. Very recently, inverse-electron-demand Diels-Alder reactions have received attention, but to date they have not been applied to nucleic acids. Here we describe the first example of DNA modification by inverse-electron-demand Diels-Alder reaction. We synthesized fou...
متن کاملModification of Na Channels by Synthetic Dihydrobatrachotoxinin A - 20 « - Benzoate
Sodium channels in nodal membrane modified by a synthetic analog of batrachotoxin, 7,8-dihydrobatrachotoxinin A-20a-benzoate, were studied under voltage clamp conditions. The voltage dependence of channel activation was shifted by 70—80 mV towards more negative potentials. Selectivity sequence determined from peak current reversal potenial was as follows: Na:NH 4 :K = 1:0.46:0.23. Our data sugg...
متن کاملModification of Microfiber Synthetic Leather Base and Model by Collagen
Modified by the pretreated model with collagen under the crosslinking effect of glutaraldehyde, the moisture absorption of modified samples increased by 26.34% and 42.6%. The test results of SEM, AFM and DSC show that there was coating on the fibers modified with collagen, and the relative average roughness of the modified fabric decreased. Modification with collagen also affected the thermal p...
متن کاملSequence-specific modification of genomic DNA by small DNA fragments.
Small DNA fragments have been used to modify endogenous genomic DNA in both human and mouse cells. This strategy for sequence-specific modification or genomic editing, known as small-fragment homologous replacement (SFHR), has yet to be characterized in terms of its underlying mechanisms. Genotypic and phenotypic analyses following SFHR have shown specific modification of disease-causing geneti...
